Job Overview
Work closely with Environmental Compliance Team and Supervisor to compile, analyze and enter CAFE/GHG information into respective databases to meet the required reporting obligations. Lend support to MB Canada as needed for Fuel Economy (FE) and certification reporting. Responsible for acquiring, preparing and submitting information and data for reporting ZEV final MY submissions to state government agencies via the California Air Resource Board (CARB) - ZEV Credit Reporting and Data Tracking System (CRDTS).  Primary liaison to state agencies and reporting credit status to DAG/Environmental Compliance Supervisor. Manage Emission Related Parts Analysis to resolve High Priced Parts (HPP) for CA 7/70 Warranty.  Provide the CA 7/70 Warranty information, including parts and emission related component pages, for inclusion in the Service and Warranty Booklets. Verify and deliver Emissions related Warranty/Damage codes to the Warranty Compliance Department for entry into VEGA, and deliver all final Warranty Statements and HPP analysis to CARB for approval as part of DAG's application for new vehicle certification.  Facilitate the process for developing, editing and/or introducing various forms of MBUSA service related literature including, but not limited to, Maintenance Sheets and Manuals, and the Warranty Booklets.  Coordinate, maintain, and disseminate Emission Related Technical Information. Perform literature reviews for Emission Related Technical Information to maintain regulatory compliance. Support safety and emissions regulatory activities within VCA including recall and service campaign coordination. Manage relevant service literature for compliance with applicable product and safety/emissions regulations, through coordination with relevant parties at MBUSA, DAG, MBUSI and outside vendors.  Work in close collaboration with vendors to facilitate progress and maintain quality standards on the development of outsourced literature. Ensure that all project assignments are coordinated and planned in accordance with product launch/introduction schedules, as determined by marketing and sales to meet stringent market introduction/launch timelines.

Responsibilities
Research, prepare and submit regulatory reports for emissions, and support DAG in ensuring governmental regulatory compliance.  Specifically, environmental compliance with federal, state, and local governmental requirements in coordination with the various environmental (EPA, CARB, state, etc.) and safety (NHTSA, etc.) agencies.  Lead and facilitate the service literature, with emphasis on emissions warranty.

Education
Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in:
Engineering


Must have 2- 4 years (total) of experience in the following
Administration --> Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures.

Advertising - Planning and Production --> Knowledge of advertising briefing and concept development process, production process, various forms of print and broadcast media, and tools for measurement of effectiveness.

Automotive-Retail --> Knowledge of retail processes and procedures, with emphasis in New and Pre-owned sales, accessories, service and parts.

Automotive - Technical --> Knowledge of automotive technical information systems and repair/diagnostic procedures.

Business - General --> Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.

Government --> Knowledge of laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, as it relates to the automotive industry.

Parts and Accessories --> Knowledge of parts and accessories businesses, marketing strategies and other business practices.

Processing --> Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency.

Public Relations --> Knowledge of principles of effective communications, mass media, publicity, advertising and community relations.
 
Additional Skills and Knowledge:
MS Office with emphasis in Excel.
Knowledge base of emission relevant components
SAE membership and/or practices preferred.
