Associate Reliability Project Engineer – Henderson, NC

The Associate Reliability/Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the maintenance department as it pertains to production equipment and systems. Also, responsibility for the fundamental executional activities of maintenance projects. The Associate Reliability/Project Engineer is an active member of the Maintenance and Reliability team at the NCH site.  The Associate Project Engineer is responsible for deploying his/her engineering know-how to successfully support plant equipment reliability and the execution of maintenance projects for the business that deliver a sustained technical competitive advantage.

 

What would your key responsibilities be?

  • Provides maintenance support in the form of engineering analysis on complex repairs.
  • Identifies repetitive equipment issues and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
  • Documents repair procedures as part of maintenance work instructions or standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Coordinate, develop and deliver equipment specific training for the maintenance and operations teams.
  • Performs root cause investigations of equipment failures.
  • Develops preventive/predictive maintenance solutions to eliminate failure recurrence.
  • Manage project consultants, equipment inspectors, and other contracted personnel onsite as it relates to maintenance projects
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews for deliverables received from contracted personnel
  • Provide support for PM development for capital project installations
  • Review and approve project equipment drawings as required
  • Ensure up to date technical documentation on all equipment is available for the shop floor.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Reliability; advanced degree in Engineering or MBA is preferred
  • 1-5 years’ experience in a technical position – food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry preferred
  • Basic understanding of engineering principals – predictive maintenance, knowledge of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction or Computer services preferred
  • Root cause analysis
  • Problem solving
  • Team skills – team experience a plus
