Key Responsibilities/职位描述

•       As a key team member for China and India HOAP origin development, conduct bench-top research to evaluate HOAP varieties and supply chains risks.   

•       Recommend new fit for purpose nut varieties and supply farms.                                                                                        

•       Execute and contribute to the development of protocols for bench-top nuts variety evaluation, based on Mars quality needs and the rationale of variety selection.

•       Compile bench-top evaluation reports in appropriate format, using appropriate data analysis method, for documentation of research results and progress. Also, check data for flaws that could impact results and progress of research.

•       Conduct lab work and data collection and execute against various S&T nuts research projects.

•       Periodic reviews and updates with project leaders or stakeholders on progress and status of research.

•       Maintenance and management of HUA nuts lab to meet requirements of both Mars internal standards and external lab audits.

•       Work with S&T Mints, Nuts, Flavor team to build and expand the capability of HUA nuts lab.

•       Monitor and evaluate situations in the lab for new events or incidences that may require intervention by project leaders or the Line Manager.

•       Support S&T Mints, Nuts, Flavor team activities/event, such as handling of HUA hub purchase orders, coordination of team face-to-face meeting, representatives of various China R&D events etc.

 

 

Qualifications/任职条件

Education & Professional Qualifications

Minimum: BS or other college certification in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Agriculture or a related discipline and 0 to 3 years of experience (preferably within the Food, Biotechnology or Agricultural industries) or MS and 0 years of experience.

Preferred: 3-5 years of nut science experience in addition to educational requirements.

 

Knowledge / Experience

The candidate will be skilled in the operation of lab analytical equipment, lab safety, material quality management, basic statistics, and data visualization.  Experience in agriculture and plant science, especially nut science, is desired.
