Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will In this vital role you will be part of a fast-paced, integrated, and interactive research group using in vivo models and techniques to explore therapeutics for Autoimmunity, Inflammation and Cancer Immunotherapy programs.

The Associate Scientist will be responsible for generating pharmacology data to support the progression of inflammation research teams. Specific responsibilities will include conducting in vivo and in vitro research studies aimed at elucidating mechanisms of chronic inflammation, immune regulation, and tolerance to develop novel therapies for the treatment of disease areas including gastroenterology, dermatology, and rheumatology.

In vivo work will include small animal handling techniques such as mouse disease model induction and monitoring, oral, SC, and IV dosing, and blood and tissue collection. In vitro work includes a range of cellular assays and molecular biological techniques to help interpret in vivo observations. Other responsibilities include operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, planning and performing laboratory experiments, and accurate, timely record keeping and data analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and 2 years of scientific experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of scientific experience, preferably in an industry setting
  • Research experience in the fields of molecular biology, cell biology, or immunology
  • Demonstrated experience with mouse models of inflammation
  • Hands-on experience with small rodents and administration through various routes (intraperitoneal, intravenous, subcutaneous, oral gavage, retro-orbital)
  • Hands-on experience with molecular and cellular biological techniques, including multi-color flow cytometry
  • Computer literacy is essential, especially proficiency with Graphpad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a flexible team-oriented environment
  • Attention to detail, translating into high quality results
  • The Associate Scientist will also be pro-active, enthusiastic, and show a desire to learn and be a part of a busy, highly productive and collaborative team
