Amgen R&D Shanghai Quantitative Biomedical Sciences is seeking a talented and highly motivated young scientist to join the bioinformatics team. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing data analysis pipelines for high-throughput data. By collaboratively working with China-, US- and JAPAC-based biomarker/IVD/discovery/biostatistics/clinical/medical groups, the successful candidate will integrate his/her knowledge and experience into our efforts to build a strong analytic pipeline to support clinical research and drug discovery.  

Requirements

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology or related areas, preferably with 1-2 years of postgraduate experience.
• Prior experience with large-scale data generated from NGS, expression array, SNP array or other platforms.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g. shell, python, perl) and statistical tools (e.g. R).
• Independent problem-solving capability and strong multi-tasking skill.
• Written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.
