Job Title: Marketing and IT Translator (English-Slovak)

Location: Slovakia

Job type: The contract is full-time (8 hours/day, 5 days a week) and the position is fully remote.

About The Role:

We are searching for language specialist with solid experience in the IT (marketing) translation industry and able to manage quality and language expectations for our major IT accounts as well as actively support both other team members and freelancers with any linguistic feedback/development.

You will be responsible for delivering translations of the highest quality on time and within budget. In this key role, you will have the opportunity to act as Lead Translator for one of our most important accounts and to support the development of your fellow translation colleagues by training/providing feedback to our vendors to continue growing the pool of reliable quality resources.

 

Responsibilities:

• Translation and review of specialist texts (databases, localization of software, user interfaces, networking, cloud solutions, electronics, apps, smart devices, operating systems, error messages, help, user manuals, servers and so on) with CAT tools
• Post-editing of machine translated texts within given timeframes
• Providing linguistic support and feedback to other linguists
• Working with clients, reviewers and project managers to define best practices
• Quality and terminology management
• Linguistic checking of files in their final format
• Acting as Lead translator to oversee the linguistic processes of one or several accounts

 

Requirements:

• Professional translator from English-Slovak in the field of Lifesciences
• At least 2-5 years of relevant professional experience
• Master’s Degree or equivalent
• CAT & Office tools experience
• A team player and enjoy working in an international environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details
