The Opportunity

This position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.

The Associate Systems Engineer is responsible for understanding the integrated set of standards, sub-standards, and assemblies needed to design and manage systems over their life cycles. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a life-cycle balanced system of systems and system/subsystems solution(s) which satisfies customer/operational needs and public/regulatory acceptability. This includes a multitude of systems requirements that range from design, development, test methodologies, validations, risk analysis, documentation, and process improvements.

What You’ll Work On

• Participates in system, software, hardware testing planning reviews to support assessment of performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and identifying possible solutions.
• On a 24-hour “on call basis” (rotating between other department employees), provides technical support services (once every two months for one week)
• Provide support for mobile apps, mobile device hardware and work with mobile service providers to maintain and trouble shoot field issues.
• Apply process and work methodologies by interfacing and communicating system level issues with peers/cross-functional groups.
• Collaborate with various organizations/disciplines (e.g., software, hardware, test, operations, manufacturing) to ensure system design artifacts accounts for all aspects of product lifestyle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related technical field or related work experience.
• 0-2 years of experience with mobile application support.
• Knowledge of iOS and Android platforms.

The base pay for this position is $55,200.00 – $110,400.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
