Purpose Statement: As a Junior UX Designer, you will contribute to a creative, design thinking culture ready to deliver Allergan Aesthetics’s next-generation digital solutions. This position requires a creative problem solver with a solid understanding of user-centered design who can worth our team to identify design problems and devise elegant solutions. Join our mission to sustainably improve the lives of patients. This position reports to the Executive Director of Technology, Product Development in our Manhattan New York office. Major Responsibilities: Research and present heuristics and best practices Design an extensible component library to be used across multiple web properties and brands Work directly with software engineers to evaluate and test solutions, providing feedback to build the highest quality experiences Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand and align on the intent, objectives, and desired outcomes of the project. Create process flows, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and mockups to effectively communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors. Present design solutions to internal stakeholders in ways that deepen their understanding of how the design solves the problem for the user at hand. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, equivalent certification, or a related field of study. Recent graduate with 0-2 years’ experience as a UX designer for web, mobile and software applications. Outstanding communicator – both verbally and in writing. Strong consultation and collaboration skills. Practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, information architecture and interaction design. Proficient with leading design tools such as Figma, etc. Proficient at creating process flows, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and mockups for web and mobile solutions. Experience using a design system proficiently to support design projects a plus. A portfolio demonstrating how a user-centered design approach had a measured impact on the overall user experience and demonstrated value to the business.
