POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to Project Manager - Construction Support (Safety), the incumbent is responsible for safety matters including safety planning, enforcing safety requirement, and coordinating contractors on site safety activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Co-ordinate the site safety activities of contractors;
• Monitor and enforce Safety requirements to all contractors;
• Monitor improvements through preparation and implementation of safety inspections;

Compile safety / environment documentation in accordance with applicable safety and environment standards,
legislation and contractual requirement of the projects;

• Promote and suggest orientation/induction and training programme for both project team and contractor's personnel;

Promote safety improvement for construction equipment and management system;

• Assist in investigation of accidents and analysis of accident statistics in order to identify trends and propose necessary corrective measures;
• Conduct site inspection and ensure works activities on site are carried out in a safe manner and in adherence to the company safety policy, statutory regulations and guidelines as minimum requirement;
• Conduct risk assessment of high risk activities and ensure works carried out in accordance with the approved method statement;
• Attend related safety meetings (incl. daily progress meeting and/or contractor's safety meeting);
• Assess technical characteristics of personal protective equipment;

REQUIREMENTS:

• High certificate/High Diploma/Degree holder in related studies
• Holder of RSO or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction safety
• Familiarity with local Safety Regulations
• Strong written and oral presentation skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Knowledge of software applications including MS Excel and Word.
