Job Description
This position is a part of the Atlas Graduate Program. Through this program, new engineers will receive 12 months of developmental training. This training will include technical and non-technical training courses. You will work with Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation. This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption. AMS Associate Product Engineer – Circuit Simulation The Product Engineering team Product Engineers are technical experts focusing on circuit simulation challenges and issues. They represent customer functional requirements in cross-functional product teams and create efficient analyses and profiles to identify bottlenecks in performance for a large set of Analog circuits such as ADC, PLL, SerDes, Memories and High-Speed IOs. They also support Siemens Application engineers during early adoption evaluations and work closely with R&D engineers and validation teams on advanced accuracy, performance, capacity and functionality projects. Product engineers generate technical collateral and white papers to represent Siemens EDA in international conferences. Position Description The candidate will be responsible for helping with the debug of complex customer issues and communicate their analyses to R&D engineers through detailed reports. They will be responsible for identifying and clarifying the problem to be solved, analyzing the causes of unwanted simulator behavior, and generating a set of alternative solutions to achieve the main customer goal. The candidate will also identify, specify, and roll-out high value features for Siemens' circuit simulation products. The candidate will support Siemens Application Engineers during customer engagements and evaluations, acting as the technical product expert with a focus on meeting the customer needs and delivering a high quality circuit simulation product. A successful candidate will explore innovative ideas and experiments to help solving customer issues and will be able to make decisions based on in her/his analysis. She/He will be able to assess any solution’s effectiveness to reach a customer’s objective. Requirements Self-motivated individual with excellent problem solving skills Good listener, persistent behavior and willingness to learn Good flexibility to work with remote teams located in several geographies Strong capability to dig through raw data and analytics Strong oral and written communication skills BSEE or equivalent, MSEE or equivalent preferred Desirable Experience using Unix/Linux environments Experience with Virtuoso Analog Design Environment (ADE) Experience using SPICE netlists, control languages, and circuit simulators including HSPICE, Spectre and AFS Experience designing and characterizing PLLs, ADC/DAC, high-speed I/Os, RFICs, PMICs, etc. Experience using Linux shell scripting, Python, and Tcl Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry Software Inc.
