Through this program, you will receive 12 months of technical and non-technical training, mentorship from Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in electronic design automation. Our software tools span the full breadth of semiconductor and electrical systems solutions including integrated circuit design and verification, PCB design & manufacturing solutions, cable harness design tools, and embedded software. We are looking for a highly motivated RECENT COLLEGE GRAD U.S. based R&D software engineer to work in the parasitic extraction team in the Calibre business unit. You will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the Calibre xACT product software. You will be teaming up with a group of senior software engineers to contribute to new components and algorithms and to support existing components. You will be collaborating with quality assurance, technical publications, marketing, and customer support to deliver high-quality products on schedule. You will participate in scheduling and estimation of tasks and assist in defining and developing software development methodologies. Self-motivation, the desire to take technical ownership, and a results-oriented positive attitude and team-orientation will contribute to your success in our business unit. Minimum Job Qualifications: • BS or MS in Computer Science, Scientific Computing, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline • Good programming (C++, object-oriented) and software engineering skills • Practical (scientific) software development experience on projects that required data structures/algorithms for high-volume data and computing. • Strong team player with solid interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) • Strong ability and interest to learn, explore and apply new technologies in the domains of software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, and numerical mathematics. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Self-motivation, self-discipline, and the ability to set and work consistently towards personal goals. Preferred Job Qualifications: • Experience with large software development projects (code reviews, version management, unit tests, static/dynamic code checkers) • Experience with multi-threaded, distributed, and high-performance computing • IC CAD experience (DRC, LVS, extraction, simulation) and solid knowledge of semiconductor processes • Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms The salary range for this position is $30.96/hr to $55.72/hr ($64,400 to $115,900) and this role is eligible to earn another 3% in variable pay.
