Siemens EDA has an opportunity for a Product Engineer to be part of an extended international team working with the Veloce Emulation product line. This team works to enable state of the art accelerated verification environments for all the top semi-conductor companies around the world. This position is a part of the Atlas Graduate Program. Through this program, you will receive 12 months of technical and non-technical training, mentorship from Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation. Our software tools span the full breadth of semiconductor and electrical systems solutions including integrated circuit design and verification, PCB design & manufacturing solutions, cable harness design tools, and embedded software. Responsibilities Siemens EDA is looking for a highly motivated Product Engineer to help define, promote and deploy hardware assisted acceleration environments with Veloce emulation solutions at leading edge semiconductor and systems customers. As an emulation Product Engineer, you will be part of the world-wide Veloce team who work with emulation solutions for pre and post silicon validation, verification, and software bring-up of the industry’s most complex SoC designs using the latest advances in co-emulation technologies with Veloce TBX, VirtuaLAB, synthesizable testbenches (STB) and In-Circuit Emulation (ICE). Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: • Technical degree (minimum BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience • Understanding of semiconductor logic design and verification • Basic skills in a hardware description language (VHDL, SV, UVM, etc.) • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (PERL, Python, TCL, etc.) • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Good oral and written communication skills in English • Self-motivated and able to work constructively and productively on a team, as well as independently, is essential Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: • Basic understanding of some of these areas: HDL simulation, logic synthesis, integrated circuit (IC) place and route, timing analysis (SDC), logic equivalence checking, CDC and RCD checking • Familiarity with standard interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, USB, etc.) • Fundamental skills in software design in a modern language • Exhibit a customer-oriented attitude and be able to work effectively in a world-wide, multi-site development environment. If you reside in the Bay Area the salary range for this position is $38.31/hr to $68.99/hr ($79,700 to $143,500) and this role is eligible to earn another 3-5% in variable pay.
