This position is a part of the Atlas Graduate Program with Siemens Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Through this program, you will receive 12 months of technical and non-technical training, mentorship from Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation. Our software tools span the full breadth of semiconductor and electrical systems solutions including integrated circuit design and verification, PCB design & manufacturing solutions, cable harness design tools, and embedded software. We are looking for a highly motivated RECENT COLLEGE GRAD U.S. based R&D software engineer to work on the Calibre engineering team in the Design to Silicon business unit. You will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, debugging and supporting the Calibre software. Development responsibilities will span different software tools including computation engines, application software, APIs, and utilities. You collaborate with a senior group of software engineers contributing to final production level quality of new components and algorithms and to support existent code. Responsibilities Development will be done on a Linux platform. Developing those features includes design, writing specifications, planning, implementation, and thorough testing. High productivity, fast learning, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to implement high-quality and maintainable software are key. Equally crucial for success are strong teamwork and communication skills, self-drive, and a positive can-do attitude. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. • Basic knowledge of C++ and/or Python programming languages. • Basic knowledge of algorithm and data structure design. • Basic understanding of gate level digital logic design. • Excel both in a team-oriented development and working independently. Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: • Software engineering skills using Unix/Linux operating systems. • Basic knowledge of EDA Hardware description languages (Verilog/Vhdl). • Experience in the use of EDA software simulation tools (Modelsim, etc).
