Job Description
The position is responsible for assisting the Assistant Manager, Technical Warehouse with the day to day operation of the warehouse and storerooms.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist Assistant Manager, Technical Warehouse to supervise and perform daily activities of in and out going store to/ from warehouse
- To assist Assistant Manager with maintaining proper stock records of all stores and inventory items in the warehouse
- To control the movements of in and out going of all stores and Warehouse
- To assist Assistant Manager in coordinating all requisitions for stores distribution and warehousing service.
- To assist Assistant Manager to organize the arrangement of storage location, storing and labelling of goods.
- Ensure that proper authorization is obtained before releasing goods to users
- Ensure all warehouses and storage areas are maintained in compliance with Safety requirements
- Take preventive actions to protect Company’s assets and ensure that the security and safety of warehousing and stores
- To assist supervisor to check all fire fighting, first aid and material handling equipment periodically to ensure they are in good and safe working condition. To report any defects to the superior or Assistant Manager, Warehouse
- Provide guidance to section members in accordance with Company’s code of conduct and warehouse management ethics
- Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Manager
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS :
- Effective control for all incoming and out going stores movements to and from warehouses
- Physical stock check reconcile with zero variance
- Constructive relationship are build with external contacts, internal customers and team members
- Issues from the user departments are dealt with a prompt and professional manner
- SOP’s remain current and relevant
- Confidentiality maintained
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- At least 2 year experience in a Warehouse environment is required preferably within the hospitality industry
- Experience using a purchasing system, AX, MC, Micro-Fidelio or SWS is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products is preferred
Education
- Secondary school academic qualifications, holder of diploma
- Trade Certificate in Electrical, Building Services, Mechanical, or other rated discipline.
- Candidates without any trade certificates but with solid experience will also be considered.
