Job Description
Eaton’s Vehicle division is currently seeking an Auditor on 2nd shift to join our team. This position is based at our Kearney, NE facility. Relocation benefits are provided for candidates willing to relocate. Earn up to a $2,000 sign on bonus! This is a direct, full-time position that offers full benefits the day you start. In addition to Eaton’s competitive benefits, Eaton offers a salary of $24.50/hour plus a shift differential for being on an off shift. Position Overview: The Auditor is responsible for promoting safety, quality, production and 5S. The auditor will be responsible to complete changeovers in a timely manner, change their own tooling and minor troubleshooting of the press, which could include the lube system, kickouts, rails, etc. Although this position would start on an automated forge press, the employee would be expected to learn additional operations such as manual press, material handler, shear operator, quality control, and die assembly. In this function you will: Gauges and visually inspects parts to ensure they meet customer specifications Consults with Quality Department and Line Supervisor to identify problem areas Completes all charts and audit logs per job instruction Initiates MRR’s as needed for quality issues Masters gauges Master vacuum bottle and Rockwell hardness verification Performs mixed valve audit during line changeover in line audit area Monitors defective part sort performed on line Inspects and gauges samples from end of line visual station Verify set up of auto inspection at change over Run masters for auto inspection table, ring gauges, eddy current, and packer cameras per job instruction Communicate with operators and line supervisors dealing with quality issues or low packs Set up etchers and verify laser marking Assign lot numbers to each pallet, create audit approval tags, and verify the pallet going to finish bank has correct number of layers, pieces, etc. Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger.
