PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES –

1. Directs and manages all functions in compliance with PPG Blueprint objectives, P&LP process, and goals for Safety, Quality, Business Conduct, Code of ethics, Responsible Care, EEO and Financial Performance.

2. Develop and implement marketing plans on an annual and long-range basis for the Auto OEM Asian TSS and Services market.

3. Ensure growth of the automotive coatings business unit through active involvement with TSS/Services Strategic Business Review process and the preparation of 1-3-5 year business plans.

4. Establish and review pricing policies to ensure that the profitability of the product line meets the plan.

5. Provide accurate voice of the customer and market information in order that the TSS/Services Marketing and Product Management team develops new products/services that will result in growth through effective management of technology.

6. Establish and maintain the necessary relationships with TSS/Services customers to ensure long-term growth and profitability.

7. Work closely with the OEM Coatings Customer Teams to support the growth and market penetration of TSS Products and Services.

8. Work with appropriate Product Managers to establish system value propositions that will be promoted to customers.

9. Direct the new business development activities for all of the TSS product offerings.

Requires: A minimum of a bachelors degree in business, marketing or related field is required of the incumbent with an additional 8-10 years experience with sales and marketing management at senior levels. Excellent communication skills, including presentation abilities, are also mandatory for the incumbent. The incumbent must be fully knowledgeable of customer requirements, must have developed technical competence in TSS products and Services, and must be aware of pricing strategies and the activities of TSS competitors in the business. Extensive travel will be necessary in this position to promote new business, attend existing customer meetings, and especially, to expand TSS market penetration on a regional basis.
