Job Description

The automation lead/analyst will develop, recommend, integrate, and/or support manufacturing automation software systems for the Backend Manufacturing team. The person will assess, coordinate, and execute automation initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency, cost, quality, and associated processes. The scope includes work with our outsourced factories for OSAT and ODM, internal product mfg teams, and other stakeholders. Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs. Serves as site expert for a designated set of automation systems, including representing integrated needs in cross functional and cross site teams. Position may include software development of related enhancements, supplemental systems, and/or support and monitoring tools.

Expectations include:

  • Development/programming of dashboard, database/user interface, and automation of existing tools & apps
  • Database management and process automation
  • Integration of existing/in flight systems for manufacturing
  • Support Manufacturing 4.0/Smart Mfg initiatives; industrial or manufacturing engineering a plus

Qualifications

 

  • Major: Computer science/engineering and/or automation software development equivalent experience; Mfg 4.0/Smart mfg experience preferred
  • Skills: MS suite, programming (SQL, Python), database management, Tableau
