KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead in the development and deployment of efficient and innovative full, semi, and smart engineering solutions for soft goods around consumer electronics applications

Work closely and collaboratively internally with the NPI PD, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure solutions meet all KPIs including uptime, UPH, yield, cost, ROI, and efficiency

Develop a diverse stable of capable external outsource suppliers who can meet quality, schedule and cost requirements to enable aggressive program schedules of outsource automation solutions.

Automation and semi-automation applications include but are not limited to leather and fabric wrapping solutions around hard surfaces, edge painting of outer and inner irregular leather surfaces, efficient robotics applications for high UPH and high efficiency,

Attract, hire, develop and retain the strongest talent of automation designers

Effectively program management skills to lead numerous automation development programs simultaneously

Proactively and effectively provide regular communications written and verbal to management and team members on progress of automation development to team KPIs and schedules.

REQUIREMENT:

10+ years experience leading automation teams in electronics or soft goods industries

Strong individual capability in using Pro/e, Solidworks, AutoCAD

Proven track record in creating and delivering out of box solutions as an engineer as well as leading and developing others to do the same

Demonstrated leadership within his/her team as well as working effectively cross functionally

Clear effective communication skills written and verbal in English with Chinese also preferred

Capability and experience with machine software is also a plus

Experience working with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies is preferred
