Job Description

Manufacturing IT is seeking an Automation Engineer for the Arizona hub.

As an Automation Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Integrate, test, install, configure, and/or support Factory automation software systems.
  • Coordinate factory requirements, map them to automation system capabilities, and recommend technical solutions.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting to automation system problems and drive continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs.
  • Serve as domain expert for a designated set of automation systems, including representing integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams.
  • Position may include some software development of related enhancements, supplemental systems, and/or support and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or any related field
  • 3+ years of experience (at Bachelor's level) or 2+ years of experience (at Master's level) in the following areas:
    • Experience developing applications/support scripts in a variety of languages including C, Java, Perl, Python, VBScript, Powershell, ASP/ASP.NET, and UNIX
    • Database experience including Oracle, MSSQL, and experience with SQL queries/optimization
    • Windows Management as pertains to application installs and troubleshooting - IIS/FTP, Server Admin, Services, COM+


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Factory Applications or Business Process a plus

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
