Job Description

Role Description:

• Support Service Owner and System Owner roles for DeltaV and PLCs at ASM.  Make changes to plant control systems under strict GMP change control to optimize processes and maintain compliance.
• Responsible for the execution of all design, build and run service (and system) activities.
• Responsible for Service Delivery, including the achievement of service agreement, cost management, supplier relationship and service fit for use.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
• Lead or support troubleshooting efforts with cross-functional teams to determine root cause and to develop appropriate corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Education / Licenses

• Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Life Sciences

• Bachelor’s degree & 4 years of directly related experience OR

Relevant Experience

• 4 + years experience in manufacturing automation, particularly in biotechnology or pharmaceutical bulk operations
• Must have experience with level 2 Automation systems and be knowledgeable in Emerson, Rockwell and Siemens technology. 
• Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting computer data networks and servers is preferred.

Competencies / Skills

• Ability to translate strategic opportunities and emerging technology solutions into tangible pragmatic executable plans
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage small projects and work effectively on teams
• Experience supporting information interfaces, data conversion and network infrastructure.
• Automation Technical Support of an operating Bulk Facility
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech processes
• Working knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88 and S95 industry standards
• Experience directing efforts of automation contractors using appropriate development methodologies to establish a PCS, BAS, PES, and MES implementation
• Define, measure and improve system performance based on tangible metrics
