Job Description
Eaton’s Bussmann division is currently seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Juarez facility. The Controls Engineer is responsible for providing support in the design of equipment concepts and implementation of robustness automated processes, promoting innovation and new technology focused in Industry 4.0. Providing technical inputs and all documentation necessary to ensure that expectations set in the company quote (RFQ) and the customer specification are met. To accomplish this task. Some activities related with the position will be: Write and modify programs for several brands of PLC controllers. Write and modify programs for PC’s that are used for process machine and tester controllers. (Two primary languages used are Visual Basic and LabView) other more. Work with machine builders during the design concept and integration of new equipment, reviewing the equipment spec is being written to verify equipment will perform as expected in production. Interact with a Core team in the development of new projects in all phases of the launch. Work closely with the advanced manufacturing engineers to resolve machine issues where possible through modifications to the machine programs. Assist maintenance and/or manufacturing engineers with changes to machine programs as required. Perform machines back-ups routine and develop procedures for back up administration. Develop and perform training programs to improve technical skills. Develop machine troubleshooting manuals for technician support. Skills in leadership to be able to manage people and projects. Report project, actions plan status and communicate on time any risks. #LI-UH1 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electromechanical or Mechatronic. Minimum 5 years of programming experience in a production environment. Demonstrated ability to program PLC’s and PC’s for use in a production environment. Ability to program a variety of PLC controllers. Ability to program PC’s using Visual Basic and LabView, others. Solid works knowledge Knowledge of and experience with AIAG Core Tools, (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge in manufacturing processes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SAP and/or Vista Bilingual, English / Spanish Automotive, electrical or medical industry experience. Problem Solving Tools. Launching projects experience.
