Job Description
Eaton’s PDCA (Power Distribution and Controls Assembly) Division is seeking an Automation/Test Engineer to join our team. This is a position is based at our Arden, NC facility. Relocation assistance will be offered for candidates residing outside a 50-mile radius of Arden, NC. Position Overview: The Automation/Test Engineer will provide systems integration engineering and technical consultation for customers, manufacturing and engineering in the areas of system design, programming, installation, maintenance, testing, training and modification of automated control systems and power management systems. In this function you will: Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) Program Human Machine interfaces (HMI’s) Design and implement power system control schemes including switchgear transfer control, load management control, generator control, microgrid control, and SCADA system development. Assist in testing, programming and troubleshooting of Low Voltage Assemblies automation control systems Assist in training of Low Voltage Assembly COEs in the areas of Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, and Design Automation Why work at Eaton? Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology from an accredited institution Experience with AutoCAD Experience working with PLC/HMI based control systems with Low Voltage Assembly and power distribution systems experience.
