Job Overview
The IT Vehicle Electronics Team is looking for an automotive security engineer to analyze software designs and full stack implementations from a security perspective and identify and resolve security issues. You will be part of an agile software development team and focused on backend software that is used for vehicle communication and parameterization. You will also work closely with Design Engineers to discuss vehicle integration and ensure that the holistic end-to-end process is secure. You will be expected to be skilled at discovering security issues and recommending patches. You will participate in security audits, risk analysis, vulnerability testing, and security reviews.
Responsibilities
- Help ensure DTNA’s products are implemented to a high security standard, not only on the component-level but also the entire system, including end-to-end processes
- Conduct penetration tests and risk assessments in an automotive environment to prioritize threats and compare mitigation strategies
- Work with DTNA teams and external suppliers to drive remediation. Help to design a secure connected vehicle architecture
- Contribute to technical requirements, architecture, and interface design documents
- Bake security into the SDLC by architecting security solutions, driving secure code design and review, and performing penetration testing of applications
- Develop security tooling and integrate into the CI/CD pipeline
- Perform code reviews and audits to identify security vulnerabilities
