Daimler Trucks is establishing a new, international department to bring highly automated driving technologies to series production.

In this role, you will lead the safety activities for the fail operational vehicle platform to ensure safe and reliable operation of our highly automated truck. You will be responsible for executing the functional safety analysis and support the system wide implementation while working closely with talented engineers in the global project team.

Responsibilities
- Create and try out test cases derived from specific use cases for highly automated driving / different driving scenarios


- Create DVP&R for test case catalog


- Based on the concept derive acceptance criteria for release process


- Develop verification concept/process for entire L4 Cascadia


- Collaborate with other teams around the globe and transfer knowledge gained on ADAS projects


- Interact and align with the overall validation concept 

Required Qualifications


- Bachelors degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or related field from an accredited college/university and 3 years of related experience; OR an Master's degree with 1 year of experience required


- An attached resume is required


- Proven work experience in automotive or aerospace product development related to product verification required


- Experience with requirements management and fault analysis techniques, such as FMEA/FTA required


- Excellent team player skills combined with the will to improve the product to its best  required


- Ability to work and collaborate with remote locations over different time zones required 


- Ability to travel domestically and internationally  required


- Strong presentation and communication skill required


- Experience developing system verification processes for highly automated driving required

Preferred Qualifications


- Prior experience in applying verification standards and metrics (ASIL, MISRA, etc.), and taking complex systems through verification process preferred
