We are accepting applications for people all over China that can fulfil the requirements and needs of Avatar Corporate Headquarters.

Ideally your duties will be but are not limited to,

Meet with our clients or with management to discuss the needs of the website or websites and the expected needs of the website's audience and plan how it should look; Create and debug applications for a website; Write code for the site, using programming languages such as HTML or XML; Work with other team members to determine what information the site will contain; Work with graphics and other designers to determine the website's layout; Integrate graphics, audio, and video into the website; Monitor website traffic

When creating a website, "Website Developers" have to make ours and our client's vision a reality. They work with us and our clients to make sure it fits in with the type of site it is supposed to be, such as ecommerce, news, or gaming. Different types of websites may require different applications to work right. For example, a gaming site should be able to handle advanced graphics while an ecommerce site needs a payment processing application. Our ideal dynamic developer decides which applications and designs will best fit the site.


BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION:

Design, create, and modify Web sites. Analyze user needs to implement Web site content, graphics, performance, and capacity. May integrate Web sites with other computer applications. May convert written, graphic, audio, and video components to compatible Web formats by using software designed to facilitate the creation of Web and multimedia content.


JOB DUTIES AND TASKS FOR: "Website Developer"

Can be but are not limited to...

1) Design, build, or maintain web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media.

2) Perform or direct web site updates.

3) Write, design, or edit web page content, or direct others producing content.

4) Confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.

5) Back up files from web sites to local directories for instant recovery in case of problems.

6) Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and correct problems or refer problems to appropriate personnel for correction.

7) Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.

7.1) Maintain understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.

8) Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.

9) Develop or validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.

10) Develop databases that support web applications and web sites.

11) Renew domain name registrations.

12) Collaborate with management or users to develop e-commerce strategies and to integrate these strategies with web sites.

13) Write supporting code for web applications or web sites.

14) Communicate with network personnel or web site hosting agencies to address hardware or software issues affecting web sites.

15) Design and implement web site security measures such as firewalls or message encryption.

16) Perform web site tests according to planned schedules, or after any web site or product revisions.

17) Select programming languages, design tools, or applications.

18) Incorporate technical considerations into web site design plans, such as budgets, equipment, performance requirements, or legal issues including accessibility and privacy.

19) Respond to user email inquiries, or set up automated systems to send responses.

20) Develop or implement procedures for ongoing web site revision.

21) Develop and document style guidelines for web site content.

22) Develop web site maps, application models, image templates, or page templates that meet project goals, user needs, or industry standards.

23) Establish appropriate server directory trees.

24) Identify or maintain links to and from other web sites and check links to ensure proper functioning.

25) Recommend and implement performance improvements.

26) Create searchable indices for web page content.

27) Register web sites with search engines to increase web site traffic.

28) Provide clear, detailed descriptions of web site specifications such as product features, activities, software, communication protocols, programming languages, and operating systems software and hardware.

29) Monitor security system performance logs to identify problems and notify security specialists when problems occur.

30) Create web models or prototypes that include physical, interface, logical, or data models.

31) Evaluate or recommend server hardware or software.

32) Document test plans, testing procedures, or test results.

33) Research, document, rate, or select alternatives for web architecture or technologies.

34) Document technical factors such as server load, bandwidth, database performance, and browser and device types.

35) Install and configure hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) servers and associated operating systems.

36) Develop system interaction or sequence diagrams.

NATURE OF THE WORK

Web developers design and create websites. They are responsible for the look of the site. They are also responsible for the site's technical aspects, such as performance and capacity, which are measures of a website's speed and how much traffic the site can handle. They also may create content for the site.

WORK SCHEDULES

While working with us you will work part time and have an unpredictable work schedule. We are a consulting company and we work on projects and have to adjust to our customers needs, time and schedules. Depending on this Web developers working with us must be ready on short notice to work and the number of hours worked will vary depending on the projects.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Given the nature of our company and the fact the we do consulting projects the compensation is variable and also since our projects give a high return we can afford to compensate our Web Developers better per hour for their part-time work and their time.

Some developers handle all aspects of a website's construction, while others specialize in a certain aspect of it. The following are some types of specialized web developers:

Web architects or programmers are responsible for the overall technical construction of the website. They create the basic framework of the site and ensure that it works as expected. Web architects also establish procedures for allowing others to add new pages to the website and meet with management to discuss major changes to the site.

Web designers are responsible for how a website looks. They create the site's layout and integrate graphics; applications, such as a retail checkout tool; and other content into the site. They also write web-design programs in a variety of computer languages, such as HTML or JavaScript.

Webmasters maintain websites and keep them updated. They ensure that websites operate correctly and test for errors such as broken links. Many webmasters respond to user comments as well.
