Opportunity Overview:
BD's EDGE Winter Externship Program is designed to give college underclassmen a glimpse of the professional opportunities available to them post-graduation. The externship is a one-day program held during the students' Winter Break at BD's Corporate Headquarters in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. The program will give them the opportunity to learn more about BD by interacting with various BD associates throughout the day and touring the Franklin Lakes facility. The program also includes a presentation by BD’s senior leaders, providing students with a unique insight into BD’s operations. A professional development session will further students’ interviewing skills and better prepare them as they look for full-time opportunities. The day will also include several smaller breakout sessions to provide students with an overview of the many projects and initiatives BD’s IT organization is undertaking and how the EDGE Program associates have played a role. The externship is a comprehensive way to learn of available post-graduation opportunities, all while networking with BD associates and having fun!

Eligible candidates for BD's Winter Externship must meet the requirements below:

• Aspiring professionals with a graduation date of Spring 2021 or later working towards a degree in Management Information Systems, Information and Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Business, or business focused major with Information Systems knowledge. Business or other related majors may be applicable.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred (Not applicable to Freshman)
• Interest in a broad based cross functional IT experience
