Responsibilities:

Thermo Fisher Bioprocess Design Center is dedicating to provide a wide range of bioprocess related services, such as media optimization, cell-line development, process development, spent media analysis, etc. A downstream team with strong capability to develop various downstream process and provide purification service is required to support diversiform services. This position should support the downstream team to fulfill the requirements from all BDC functions.

• Strictly follow study plan to fulfill part of research study, data collection, and experiment notes, in compliance with integrity, authenticity, and traceability.
• Work closely with scientist and participate in the purification process development, including sample preparation, lab-scale process development, scale-up, and pilot works.
• Carry out routine works of purification, including buffer preparation, column packing / unpacking, methods setup and running, filtration, ultrafiltration, etc.
• Follow SOP to operate, maintain and manage downstream-related instruments, such as AKTA Avant / Pure / Process, pumps, filtration / ultrafiltration system, etc., in compliance with requirements.
• Follow SOP to maintain and manage downstream-related key material.
• As a team member, collaborate with upstream and QC researcher to complete the project as one team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree minimum in bio Engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, Biochemistry or biotechnology or related discipline, master’s degree in above field is preferred.
• 1+ year of protein or vaccine purification (especially mAb related purification process development) experience in pharmaceuticals / biotechnology industry.
• Workable English skills in oral and writing for regular working surroundings.
• Good communication skills and cooperation skill.
• Good computer using skill in MS office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the operation of purification related equipment, such as AKTA Avant / Pure / Process etc. is preferred.
• Experience in working in a pilot or manufacture facility is preferred.
• Working experience in similar Customer Experience/Excellent Center or CRO/CDMO.
