Monitoring and Controlling BHS operations ensuring smooth baggage flow with minimum or no interruptions. Control and supervision of all operations and maintenance activities to achieve the overall target of system availability in the respective area. Ensure fallback procedures are in place during system interruptions or breakdown situations. Ensure proper communication from the control room to Field Supervisors/Technicians for proper fault finding. In case of system anomaly, provide technical advise to Field Supervisors/Lead Technicians as the basis for any operational decisions. Ensure proper handover/ takeover of shifts with all information/ongoing works passed on to the next shift Supervisor. Log all the daily activities and anomalies in the logbook. Ensure that the requirements of the DA and HSE Department is adhered to and all staff take appropriate precautions at all times during working hours and be responsible for maintaining Standard Operating Procedure at all times. Ensure all QHSE procedures adhere. What do I need to qualify for the role? Minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering. Minimum of 5 year’s experience within the Baggage Handling Industry or in any Automated Material Flow systems. Proven experience in monitoring and handling Airport baggage operations via the SCADA system Technical Know-how of SCADA/PLC systems. Experience in reviewing, and analyzing the Operational Processes for improvements and enhancement. Very good understanding of Automated Material Flow systems. Hands-on experience in monitoring, controlling, and analyzing the operational areas of the system Good awareness of quality and safety procedures.
