Job Description

Purpose:
The Business Intelligence and Reporting Lead for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365 F&O) programme will ensure reporting requirements are understood and delivered for each of the respective workstreams.  The role will coordinate with the business and partner SI’s (strategic initiatives?) and align with the execution of the data strategy, in order to deliver the overall reporting needs of the organisation, whilst also allowing RWS to achieve its goals in becoming a more data driven and transparent organisation.
 

Description:
* D365 F&SCM and CE experience is required.
* Business Intelligence provides reporting solutions to the various verticals of RWS business (e.g., Finance, HR, BU’s)
* This role works closely with the business users to capture their requirements and translate them to functional /technical requirements. This role is a key contributor for Group Data & Analytics, collaborating with the business & transformation programmes.
* Ensure ingestion of Dynamics datasets aligns with the data strategy to create meaningful reporting, dashboards and data products with interactive features that can be used by business users using approved tooling, such as data visualization.
* Provide support of the dashboards to the business users during implementation and after the solution Go-Live and, act as a liaison between users of the solution and any technical assistance or support that is required.
* Promote Innovation and continual improvement across the team and use proof of concepts to help delivery and support the data strategy to create more efficient and effective reporting solutions.
* Championing compliance of the standardised processes and consistent data standard across the whole organisation

Responsibilities:
* Gather requirements for the Operational & Analytical reporting needs of RWS.
* Consolidate reporting requirements into a single report register.
* Participate or lead workshops/sessions to ensure business reporting requirements are delivered on time for the programme; this requires partnering with architects, solution consultants, dev resources on the solution design.
* Performing data analysis to uncover use cases, data mappings, anomalies, data quality rules etc.
* Provide inputs on Data Models and ETL processes based on business requirements and in-depth knowledge of data sources.
* Familiarity with D365 F&SCM and CE reporting solutions for Fit/Gap Analysis.
* Work in conjunction with the transformation stakeholders to align with the business on demand and prioritisation of work, providing detailed communication on progress of work.
* Work closely with the Dynamics programme to highlight & mitigate risks like scope, schedule etc. & ensure the project stays on track.
* Provide trainings and support to end users on BI systems/infrastructure and architecture/solutions.

Qualifications:
* Minimum 6 years’ experience in Business Intelligence as BA.
* Experience in BI/Reporting projects in D365 F&SCM / CE 
* Advanced knowledge and experience of Data Warehouse and Reporting solutions (e.g., Data Lakes, ETL, SQL etc). Azure experience an advantage
* Demonstrated analytical and project management skills, including thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into functional requirements.
* Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational data models
* Demonstrated hands-on experience using SQL for performing data profiling & ad-hoc data analysis.

* Familiarity with Financial Concepts is preferred.
* Experience on Business Intelligence tools like Microsoft Power BI, D365 Reporting modules etc. is desirable.
* Experience with DevOps is required.
* Demonstrated analytical and project management skills, including thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into functional requirements.

Functional/Technical Skills:
* Experienced in Quality Management
* Knowledge about technical aspects of Microsoft Dynamics 365
* Business process understanding
* Basic understanding of Microsoft technology stack
* Understanding of key independent software vendors (ISVs) within the defined vertical(s)
* Understanding of integration and interfaces of Microsoft Dynamics to other applications
* Understands and follows BI development good practices and ensures that modifications are documented
