In this position, you will be responsible for joining the team enabling the industry's best enterprise platforms as a Platform Applications Engineer (PAE) in the Data Center Platform Application Engineering (DCPAE) organization. We have exciting opportunities to apply your technical knowledge to accelerate deployment of solutions based on Intel Xeon processor-based platform proliferations.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Supporting OxMs and Basic Input Output System (BIOS) vendors who are creating BIOS for Server platforms based on Intel Silicon. Interfacing directly with the BIOS engineers at OxMs and BIOS vendors and driving their technical BIOS issues to successful conclusion. Direct customer interaction (onsite and remote) for issue resolution and maintaining technical alignments with customers
- Writing technical product (BIOS) documentation, developing and delivering technical training and/or enabling materials, demos and customer collaterals and providing technical support for industry events and forums
- Investigating, disposition and document errata
- Interacting with Intel Field Sales, Intel Customer Support and the worldwide Application Design-in Centers (ADC) to help resolve customer technical questions
- Driving issue resolution across multiple development teams, groups and divisions
- Participating in new product development, representing the customer's technical needs
- Acting as technical expert and responding to customer requests or events as they occur and developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and technical experience judgments

Qualifications

You should possess a Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Engineering disciplines.

Additional qualifications include:

- Good understanding of Intel Processor, Chipset, Server and Basic Input Output System (BIOS) technology
- Strong lab and debug skills with strongly desired
- At least 10 years of C and/or C++ or assembly language programming experience
- At least 10 years of IA-32 architecture server product development experience.
- Experience in identifying, investigating and solving technical issues for customers and driving customer technical issues to successful conclusion
- Experience in developing 'customer ready' collateral and delivering training would be an added advantage
- Basic Input Output System (BIOS) development experience
- Knowledge BIOS and/or UEFI architecture and implementation
- Demonstrated ability to listen, understand and respond professionally to customer questions and/or issues
- Work independently, multitask effectively and exhibit strong influencing skills and customer orientation
- Ability to define and communicate problems clearly to others while working across multiple groups and sites
- Bi-lingual communication skills in English and Mandarin with a demonstrated ability to work across geographies time zones companies and organizations
