MAIN DUTIES – Country Management
To provide assistance to the Chief Country Officer of Taiwan (CCO) and Regional Chief Operating Officer (Regional COO) in 3 main areas of responsibilities (i) Governance (ii) Strategy and Risk Management and (iii) People and Performance Management for Deutsche Bank Taiwan
Coordinate Taiwan Country Governance Committees/Fora as Secretary with agenda planning, collection of documents, tracking open issues, preparing meeting pack and taking the minutes, and any other committees/councils chaired by Country Management. Maintain the BoardPad and related group governance standards
Support Taiwan CCO/Regional COO in cross-divisional initiatives and risk/control matters which include rollout of global initiatives in-country/region, review and remediation of governance gaps in Legal Entities in Taiwan, etc
Manage the appointment / release process for Country Managers, Legal Entity Board Members and Branch Managers and ensure compliance to internal governance policies
Monitor Deutsche Bank Taiwan's financial performance with Group Finance. Collaborate with Deutsche Bank regional office in cost management and budgeting exercise and support in delivering the cost target.
Help track completed, ongoing and expected internal, external and regulatory audits in the country and follow up with lessons learned
Any other duties as may be assigned / communicated from time to time by Taiwan Country Management, including regulatory requests, country business and strategy review, and client briefings / Taiwan overview document / cost analysis, org chart, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree/professional qualification
- Business administration background
Experience:
- 5+ years experience in cost analysis /management reporting
- 5+ years experience in business management
- 3+ years experience in business management in financial industry
- Experience in managing complex projects
- Knowledge of financial products and operational processes
- Experience in supporting senior management
- Experience in managing people
Skills:
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to interact with senior management
- Commercial orientation
- Fluency in oral and written Chinese and English
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Broad product and business knowledge
- Competency in MS Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint etc)
