13 Month Student Placement – BMW Ireland – Dublin - Aftersales Intern (July 2021)
The Aftersales Department for BMW Ireland is managed and supported by the Aftersales Team in the UK, however we do have local Aftersales presence in the Dublin office working very closely with the UK teams. The Aftersales Team deliver and coordinate the Aftersales Strategy and Objectives and deliver results. We support the retailer network in the aftersales area of their business to assist growth and achieve joint objectives. This is an exciting opportunity where you’ll be involved in a variety of key tasks including the following:
Financial Administration:
- Purchase requsitioner for Aftersales Cost Centre. This includes raising PO’s, goods receipting and approving invoices.
- Raising Retailer bonus payments.
- Raising sundry invoices/credits.
- Aftersales Administration
Aftersales administrative tasks which includes reporting and co-ordinating with suppliers and the IE Retailer network:
- Second level support for Service Programmes including IE Service Inclusive and TLC programme which involves liaising with the UK teams, Retailers and 3rd party support services to resolve issues and queries.
- Internal parts requisitions for overall business and Financial Services, internal re-charges, parts stocking and management.
- BMWi infrastructure ordering for Retailers and customers.
- Hire drive and corporate hire parts pricing.
- Day to day on the ground contact for Aftersales topics – internally within NSC and retailers.
Support for Aftersales Development Manager:
- Communication with Retailer network around aftersales products and programmes.
- Co-ordinate Retailer marketing materials and activities around aftersales products and programmes.
- Management of Lifestyle and Accessories promotional materials, references and purchase points.
- Administrative tasks relating to Bodyshop and 4th level trade.
- Administrative support for Aftersales digital platforms – service.ie and store.ie.
- Administrative support for Retention Programme including liaising with Service consultants and Retention Managers within the business.

You will be currently studying for a undergraduate degree in Business or a related subject that includes undergoing a 12 month student work placement and be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above

Automotive experience is an advantage

Self-motivated with good verbal and written skills to be able to work with UK teams remotely. Good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy and ability to work flexibly across a number of different and varied tasks.

Good understanding of Microsoft programmes to include Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel.
