BMW Ireland, Dublin - Sales Support - 13 Month Placement (July 2021)

BMW Ireland Sales Department – team includes Head of Sales & Marketing, National New Car Sales Manager, National Used Car Manager, Corporate & Diplo Manager, BPP & BMWi Manager, Sales Intern. The Sales Team deliver and coordinate the BMW Group Ireland Sales Strategy and Objectives and deliver results. As a student on placement in our small and friendly team, you’ll support the retailer network in the sales area of their business to assist growth and achieve joint objectives.

On a daily basis you’ll be involved in the following:

  • Supporting fleet management process.
  • Supporting Hire Drive process.
  • Corporate Sales administration.
  • Support for cost centre management/ administration.

Additional tasks involve:

  • Liaise with the National Fleet Manager to order internal fleet cars in line with the spec matrix and market demands to achieve high residual values when sold as used cars.
  • Fleet Admin which includes registration, taxing and invoicing, utilising Government ROS system.
  • Liaise with the Corporate Manager to order Hire Drive cars in line with the spec matrix and hire drive company demands.
  • Liaise with FS for HD discount levels and details required for HD agreements with HD companies.
  • Hire Drive admin which includes registration, invoicing and co-ordinating the prep and delivery of the hire drive fleet.
  • Manage the hire drive return process, follow up with Corporate Manager/ HD companies for delayed return cars.
  • Liaise with direct corporate customers to order cars in line with their spec requirements. Ensuring accurate invoicing and co-ordination of deliveries to direct corporate customers.
  • Corporate Admin including invoicing, co-ordinating prep and delivery of fleet and answering any queries they may have.
  • Liaise, co-ordinate and direct key fleet suppliers on all required fleet activities & tasks required.
  • Purchase requsitioner for Fleet, Corporate and BMWi cost centres. This includes raising PO’s, good receipting and approving invoices.
  • You will  be currently studying for a undergraduate degree in Business or a related subject that includes undergoing a 12 month student work placement and be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above
  • Any Marketing or Automotive experience is an advantage.
  • Strong writing and speaking skills. 
  • Adequate interpersonal skills to build a working relationship with various stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of MINI product and marketing processes.
  • IT literate, able to work under pressure. Good understanding of Microsoft programmes to include Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel.
