13 Month Student Placement – BMW Ireland – Sales and Product Marketing Intern  (June 2021)

BMW Ireland Sales Department – team includes Head of Sales & Marketing, National New Car Sales Manager, National Used Car Manager, Corporate & Diplo Manager, BPP & BMWi Manager, Sales Intern. The Sales Team deliver and coordinate the BMW Group Ireland Sales Strategy and Objectives and deliver results. Support the retailer network in the sales area of their business to assist growth and achieve joint objectives. The marketing department support the brand campaigns, new product launches and the purchase and placement of same in the market place across all media channels. This is an exciting   opportunity for a self-motivated, hardworking student with excellent numerical skills to join or small and friendly team.

In the role you will be involved with the following:

  • Declare new (BMW Group) car and bike models to Revenue, SIMI and SEAI.
  • Support the management of product systems and data.
  • Aid retailers with product queries.
  • Supports the Marketing department as a cost centre requisitioner.
  • Support the management and planning of marketing and launch events.
  • Declare new models to Revenue, SIMI and SEAI
  • Send accurate technical data and pricing information of cars to these organisations. Liaise with Revenue/ SEAI should there be any queries.
  • Update Revenue on any price changes of models and send them up to date pricing information.
  • Support the management of product systems and data.
  • Update product libraries for Ireland.
  • Test Sa3, IVS and IVS+R to ensure accurate product information and pricing is displayed.
  • Assist with updating product libraries and other product and sales literature for BMW and MINI
  • Assist with reviewing and testing sales systems to ensure accurate product information and pricing is displayed’
  • Aid retailers with product queries.
  • Liaise with the product manager and the UK product teams to ensure an accurate and quick response for and queries.
  • Support retailers should any price errors occur with customer quotes.
  • Assist with the ordering of new models, Press cars and Retailer HEA cars
  • Purchase requsitioner for Marketing, Digital, Product and Events and Communications cost centres. This includes raising and amending PR’s and PO’s, good receipting and approving invoices. 
  • Daily updates on current months performance and Year to date sales figures for comparison versus previous year
  • You will  be currently studying for a undergraduate degree in Business, Ecomomics or a related subject that includes undergoing a 12 month student work placement and be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above
  • Automotive experience is an advantage
  • Self-motivated with good verbal and written skills to be able to work with UK teams remotely. Good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy and ability to work flexibly across a number of different and varied tasks.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft programmes to include Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel.
