Physical Logistics Placement
We are looking for a placement student to join our Physical Logistics team for 13 months commencing July 2021. Our function is responsible for providing the right parts at the right time to our manufacturing colleagues, as well as managing the storage of our finished major units in our automatic warehouses. The role will involve supporting the Logistics Operations team in running the department, focusing on continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, problem resolution and identifying and implementing process improvements.
What will you be doing?

Process and data analysis.
-
Preparation and support of daily operational reviews.
-
Evaluation of PDCA and associated tools.
-
Support Logistics Planning with the utilisation of Value Stream Analysis and design of Logistical Operations processes.

Training and up-skilling less experienced colleagues on how to make more data-driven decision making.
Qualifications and experience.
-
Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Computer Science, Data Science or other relevant field and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above.

Experience with, or willingness to learn, data visualisation tools, namely Power BI, Tableau or QlikView.

A general understanding of the Agile lifecycle.

A willingness to learn as well as to teach.

Excellent communication skills.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.
