BMW UK, Farnborough, 13 Month Student Placement - CX and Innovation (July 2021)

Customer Experience is the Innovation Hub of BMW Group UK. Our goal is to research and develop new ways to improve Customer Experience for customers of the BMW, BMWi, MINI and Motorrad brands in the UK. Our aim is to make our customer journey, both in retailer and online, stand out and create memorable moments for our customers at every possible touchpoint.


What will you be doing?

  • Supporting identification and solving customer pain points throughout customer journey
  • Research into new innovative ideas and understanding changing customer needs
  • Develop reporting and insight to help drive strategy
  • Creates the  monthly VOC customer insight report and the Social Media insight reports that delivers reporting to AQ-3 and the Customer Committee
  • Reports on key trends in customer behaviour particularly as regards digital case studies to better inform Project Managers
  • Collect, analyse and utilise customer intelligence from the BMW Group, its competitors and external sectors, as briefed by the CX Project Managers
  • Overseeing UAT testing on all digital projects
  • Updating the  CX Team Dashboard covering all project KPI’s on a monthly basis
  • Updating the CX Team deliverables roadmap identifying all live projects, timelines, responsible PM’swor
  • Act as main point of contact for all CX team content onto Campus Trust and Retailer Hub
  • Co-ordinate team meetings including researching agenda topics with team, inviting speakers from the business, arranging logistics, circulating minutes and ensuring actions are followed up
  • Creating process flow documents, where required to ensure CX processes are properly documented
  • Raising po’s as required by the PM’s

Qualification: 

  • Studying toward a degree in a Business or Management discipline and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above (Please note that our Undergraduate Placement opportunities are only open to students who will be returning to their studies following their placement with us)
  • Self confidence in liaising with contacts at all levels proactively and diplomatically.
  • Self-motivated and organised, able to prioritise and manage time effectively and work at a face pace on multiple tasks.
  • Inquisitive, curious and hungry for knowledge.
  • A ‘digital native’ – interested in the digital world and how its altering consumer expectations and behaviour
  • Excellent levels of literacy and numeracy essential, above average focus on attention to detail.
  • Excellent team player, offers support proactively.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office products, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • Interest in automotive and/or comfortable working in an environment that requires some learning around the product BMW, MINI and Motorrad product range including basic knowledge of technical features.
