BMW UK, National Sales Company, Farnborough - Service Development - 13 Month Placement (July 2021)

We are responsible for a number of service programmes and products such as service plans, tactical marketing campaigns and our 0% finance offering. You will play a key role in supporting the team to review and enhance existing initiatives as well as bringing new ideas to market where we can identify commercial opportunity. Alongside this you will be responsible for assisting with the planning of our quarterly marketing campaigns and supporting with the implementation of pilot programmes from BMW AG.

Key tasks of the function/role

A multi-faceted role sitting within the Aftersales Development team but reporting into the Service Development function, with the purpose of supporting the core programmes / marketing initiatives and BAU activities.

The role will support with the development of a range of service programmes (service inclusive, pay monthly etc), adding value to Customers and the Retailer Network for both BMW and MINI brands.

This is an exciting opportunity for a well organised and confident individual who is able to use their own initiative to drive projects forward and who is comfortable working both individually and as part of a team. Excellent communication skill both written and verbal are key to success in this role where you’ll be required to take ownership of projects and challenge positively.

  • You will be currently studying for an undergraduate degree in Business, Management, Marketing or a similar subject and will be looking to undertake a placement year as part of your degree. You must currently be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above.
  • Confident in the use of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.
  • Potential to understand Manufacturer Systems and Financial Controlling processes.
  • Knowledge and a passion for the automotive retailer sector would be advantageous
  • Awareness of the importance of brand values to a multi-national organisation
