Inspire, lead, and manage the BSC materials team to forecast, expedite and deliver the desired materials needs to support the production output within the BSC to suit the business needs for both Bogie and Wheelset overhauls. This role is responsible for the flow of materials, equipment, goods and supplies from suppliers. This is your role. What part will you play? Ensure materials of the required standards are available at the production facility to meet the requirement of the maintenance operation Provide general materials engineering support/problem solving for the designated fleet depots and procurement departments. Ensure asset tracking and configuration is appropriately managed. Monitor and produce monthly KPI reports on the performance materials. Collaboration with internal / external customer to meet current needs and explore opportunities for mutual benefit. Develop a relationship with the customer that provides a stable foundation for future business opportunities. Optimizing of materials required for responsible fleets. Plan and forecast material spend and deliver to budget, subject to fleet size. Compliance to departmental budget. Demonstrate competence and development in all of the Siemens Management Standards and Siemens Leadership capabilities. Place Employee Safety and Wellbeing at the forefront of your team management activities, and ensure your awareness and competence in employee welfare tools (such as Mental Health First Aiders, EAP, Occupational Health etc.) Develop a high-performance culture with strong employee engagement using the Siemens People Management policies and tools. What qualifications, knowledge & experience will you need? Essential: Minimum 5 years experience in a supply chain / contractual management position Detailed knowledge of supply chain processes, contract law and conditions Good knowledge of IT systems / software Engineering background CIPS Professional diploma in Procurement and Supply Import, export and control experience Detailed knowledge of materials, stores management procedures and warranty processes Good organizational skills Preferred: Engineering background (Rail) People management experience Some experience within Rolling Stock overhaul processes and procedures What else do you need to know?
