The Digital Lead, Commercial BTS, is a digital expert within the Affiliate. You will be responsible for the digital transformation in your Affiliate and Area to maximize the business value with Multichannel and Technology. You will play an active role in the planning and alignment of global and local technology implementation partnering alongside with Global BTS Capability teams, Commercial teams, Affiliate leadership and other functions.
Commercial Business Technologies Services (BTS) Lead collaborates with multiple functions: Brand/Commercial team members, Customer Excellence, Brand managers, technical personnel, and leadership team in the local Affiliate and in the Area. Commercial BTS will provide recommendations on the best working practices and will implement technical solutions:
- Planning and delivering digital technologies and strategies across the company encouraging customer focus and digital transformation of organization.
- Implement proper BTS platform structure and architecture in line with Global strategy. Teach and support teams in leveraging these platforms. Support Brand teams in creating and executing customer lifetime value strategies. Support teams in capturing all required data at key points to maximize commercial opportunities.
- Ensuring the data-based decision making.
- Set Technology strategy for the Affiliate through networking within the global BTS organization, representing the needs of the business, and determining either global technology consumption, or local Technology and vendor selection.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Technology/Digital Leadership
- Take a leadership position on their area of Technology and Digital and related initiatives.
- Speak authoritatively on subject area of technology/digital matters, provide guidance.
Global, Local and Area focus
- Acting as the BTS representative for Affiliate business vision/strategy sessions where a technology component is present
- Providing Affiliate input for Area/global BTS vision/strategy sessions where required.
- Influencing broader AbbVie BTS strategies (Area, division, corporate) through objective input and feedback, ensuring decisions & actions are consistent with the relevant affiliate business & BTS strategies
- Managing, communicating or being part of the project team, for the implementation of Global and Area systems within the Affiliate, as required.
Commercial Solutions
- Define, initiate, and oversee the delivery of technology projects at an Affiliate level.
- Understand the local business landscape and dynamics and partner with business management to develop BTS execution plans that support the key business strategies.
- Maximize impact & usage of platforms/solutions (e.g. CRM, CLM, Analytics, apps, websites) by briefing teams on their value and collecting user feedback.
Compliance and Control
- Responsible for compliance with, and awareness in the affiliate of, applicable Corporate and local IT policies and procedures. Primary contact for internal BTS audits
- Ensure that relationships with external parties are managed effectively and constructively, with the appropriate contractual considerations in place for AbbVie’s benefit.
- Will ensure that all projects are compliant with local rewgulatory frameworks and legal requirements.
Qualifications
Experience & Competencies Required:
A BTS Digital Lead should be able to demonstrate:
- A mastery of Multichannel technologies – Veeva preferred
- Being customer centric both internally and externally
- An ability to work effectively and highly interactively with all levels of management
- Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Influence within a matrix organization and the ability to lead without direct authority
- Successfully managing technology projects through the full lifecycle
- Experience in analyzing, designing, and improving business processes
- Management of external service providers
- Ability to work effectively in a shared service environment
The following are highly desirable areas of competency and knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of the technology and digital landscape (including mobile, UX, web design, web build, mobile, marketing, SEO, SEM, web analytics, and social media)
- Knowledge of CRM Data, One Key data, Sales data, other commercial data sources
- Knowledge of data management policies and procedures
- Understand business flow of information in systems
- Understanding of, or preferably experience delivering digital strategies (both communications and platforms)
Knowledge / Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Business Economy, or equivalent experience, preferably in business or a closely related discipline.
- 7-8 years of IT Consultancy experience or Digital Pharma / Digital FMCG / Digital Telecom experience
- Fluent in Local language/English
- Valid Driving license
