Our Digital client is currently looking to hire a Backend Developer to join their team in a Start-up work environment.

Position Summary: 

This role requires a Backend Developer with at least 1 year relevant work experience and solid experience with PHP, mySQL, Source Control with Git and Restful API design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform application system design, development, enhancement, testing
• Responsible for UAT support, system maintenance and implementation (and post-implementation)
• Manage server hosting and perform system deployment
• Maintain the quality and sustainability of the code base by following the team guideline and process

Qualifications and Experience:  

Education/Work experience:

• Minimum 1 year relevant experience
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science/ IT/ Web development or equivalent disciplines.

Technical Competencies:

Solid experience with:

• PHP – preferably with any kind of MVC framework experience
• MySQL – DB Schema design and SQL development experience
• Source Control with Git
• Restful API design

Familiar with below experience will be a plus:

• Front-end elements e.g. HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap
• Linux/ Git
• Knowledge in cloud technology e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Docker or Kubernetes
• Content Management Systems (i.e. WordPress)

Language: English and Cantonese is a must, Mandarin is advantageous
