Daimler Mobility AG (DMO) supports the sales of Daimler Groups automobile brands with tailor-made financial services. The products range from leasing, retail financing and dealer financing to commercial fleet management, insurance solutions, banking services and innovative mobility services, like e.g. car2go and moovel. DMO operates in more than 40 countries. With more than 11000 employees, the company services a contract volume of about 150 billion Euros.

The team “Vehicle Data and Products” is responsible for making products and APIs to make vehicle data valuable and accessible for the DMO. Exemplary products are dynamic leasing products depending on your driving behavior, usage based insurance products, valuation of the market price of a vehicle, etc. As IT we are closely working together collocated with our colleagues from different business units (such as sales & marketing, credit, insurance).

In the team, we work with forefront software solutions, based on microservices, containerization, cloud, API gateways, web and mobile applications. We use a variety of open source solutions like Kubernetes, Docker, Apigee, KeyCloack, ELK-Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, Flask – hosted in Azure or On-Prem – supported by our advanced continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline consisting of JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, Jenskins, SonarQube, Selenium, Newman and JMeter.

We are looking for a backend developer to support our team on the product called CALUE – a machine learning powered application to predict market values of new and used vehicles.

Your tasks as a backend developer will be:

• Working in a cross functional team on common goals
  
• Extracting and transforming structured and unstructured data
  
• Implementing machine learning tasks like information extraction from text, object recognition in pictures and calculation of price levels
  
• Implementing Python API Backends with Flask supporting swagger
  
• Extending the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline
