3-5 years on the job experience with EMC Avamar, DataDomain and EMC unified storage and file storage, EMC Backup Specialist certification preferred, Experience with Commvault Simpana and Cloud Storage backup is a plus.

Description:

Experience with EMC Avamar backup for all supported application including Exchange, MSSQL, Oracle, SAP Oracle…etc via Avamar backup plugins, and experience with troubleshooting of failed backup jobs.

Experience with EMC Data Advisory for reporting and inventory, experience with reporting customization for different IT groups and service categories.

Experience with EMC DataDomain for backup and software administration via command lines and GUI, understand the concepts of file system, DDboost and deduplication in DataDomain and the how-to-work of integrating with Avamar, experience with EMC virtual data domain running on VMware and cloud tier is a plus.

Experience with at least two EMC storage products e.g. EMC VNX, EMC Unity, EMC XtremIO and EMC Isilon, and experience with administration of Brocade SAN switches for zoning and performance troubleshooting if necessary.

Experience with create backup policies, data set, retention policy and optimization according to company compliance policies and legal policies.

Knows change management, incident management and IT service management based on ITIL framework, and work with other IT team and business users individually.

Shift work is acceptable for weekend and overnight supports and be able to work under challenge and pressure.
