Banking Operations Associate
Business Services - Banking Operations
Hang Seng's Business Services is a team of experienced banking operations professionals who strive for delivering time-to-market, efficient and world-class processing services to customers, corporations, financial institutions and internal units.
Banking Operations, supporting account opening services, including customer due diligence and ongoing account maintenance
Should you join our Business Services, you will focus on delivering excellent services through teaming up with fellow colleagues, business partners and Group Services Centers. You will work closely with our branch staff, relationship managers, product owners and IT teams. You will be developed with skills and mindset for process ownership, quality and risk management, high performance coaching, adaptive operating model and effective cost management.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Banking Operations Associate.
Principal responsibilities
  • Monitor the completion of Customer Due Diligence (“CDD”) reviews by Global Service Centre (GSC) teams and vendor
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to Line of Business (LoB) and Global Service Centre (GSC) teams
  • Assist to liaise with different internal business stakeholders including Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), RBWM, BRCM, GSC, Regional KYC Operations, Regional RBWM on new CDD processes and Global Standards Requirements
  • Assist to review existing and new CDD processes to ensure our process complies with Global Standards and/or Regulatory Requirements
  • Assist to implement streamlining initiatives and various CDD projects
  • Identify opportunities for process re-engineering and quality improvement, and lead/ participate in the system/ procedural review/ ad hoc projects

Qualifications

Requirements
  • University Graduate in related disciplines
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Banking Operations, Know Your Customers (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processing and operation management
  • Good knowledge of anti-money laundering, customer onboarding and continuous customer review for retail customers
  • Strong self-motivation with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua an advantage
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Able to work in tight timeline and under pressure
