Job Description

Prime Function:

  • Responsible for maintaining a strong client relationship and ensure that all convention specifications are communicated to and executed by all departments.
  • Oversee Banquet events, manage the team and allocate responsibilities to the team.
  • Coordinate and supervise the execution of all banquet conventions to ensure clients' specifications are adhered to and that the convention runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Any matter which may effect the interests of ACCOR should be brought to the attention of the Management.

Key Responsibilities:

People Management

  • Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of Hyderabad International Convention Centre to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
  • Support the company’s philosophy towards employee development, morale and institute programs to ensure the effectiveness and promotion of this philosophy within the department.
  • Ensure that the team has been trained for all safety provisions.
  • Ensure that the team is well informed of department’s objectives and policies.
  • Work with internal/external representatives from different departments for executing conventions.

Financial Management

  • Prepare departmental annual budget and also ensure to control and monitor departmental expenditures.
  • Maintain and update corporate database, entering delegate bookings to ensure delegate information/ records are kept up to date and accurate for future events.
  • Identify optimal, cost effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.

Operational Management

  • To prepare and submit in the prescribed format the information necessary for budgeting purposes.
  • Conduct departmental meeting as required to communicate effectively with all Banquet department team to ensure that they are kept current on pertinent information and activities.
  • To ensure a prompt, courteous response and follow up to all enquiries.
  • Ensure that duty rosters are compiled with, making certain that adequate number of the team will be on duty.
  • To ensure that the service of food and beverages is courteous and professional.
  • Responsible for smooth, efficient, cost effective operation of all Banquet Food & Beverage service functions.
