Banquet Porter (seasonal)

Be a part of a spectacular event! As a Banquet Server with Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire Hotel (A Fairmont Managed Hotel) you will create a special event that our Guests will remember. Your ability to work as a team player combined with your service skills and your engaging personality will ensure that our Guests have a memorable experience.

We are looking for individuals who are available from mid-September until the end of December, 2019. Shift times will vary, however will include weekends, evenings and overnights. Hours of work would be based on business levels and would likely consist of three to four shifts per week.

Hotel Overview:  Experiences are invited at the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire Hotel (A Fairmont Managed Hotel), located in the heart of downtown Calgary in the midst of the city’s most exciting shopping and recreation area. Our award-winning, 4-diamond, all-suite hotel’s neighboring attractions include the Eau Claire Market, Y.M.C.A. and Prince's Island Park - an extensive parkland which plays host to a multitude of Calgary festivals. 

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Banquets, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

• Preparing and organizing set-ups for upcoming banquet events
• Setting up banquet functions and conference rooms as specified by meeting organizers
• Providing exceptional service to all guests in a variety of settings including plated and buffet banquets for breakfasts, lunch and dinners, working lunches, coffee breaks, cocktail receptions, formal evening events and off-site catering events
• Offering high-level of product knowledge and follow-up on all guest enquiries
• Tear-down and clean-up following banquet functions/conference rooms
• Providing internal and external guests with exceptional customer service
• Other duties as assigned
