Banquet Server

What you will be doing:

• Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation.
• Demonstrate Fairmont Service Promise Standards and Fairmont Values in all interactions with both guests and colleagues.
• Maintain uniform and adhere.s to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts grooming standards.
• Set, serve, and clear all assigned meal functions while adhering to all Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Banquet Brand Standards.
• Service, clear, and refresh coffee breaks during meeting and/or meal breaks.
• Complete all assigned daily tasks and report any tasks unfinished.
• Adhere to hotel’s allergy policies.
• Maintain supplies and report any shortages or deficiencies.
• Ensure all work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner free from all potential hazards.
• Participate in regularly scheduled departmental communication meetings.
• Maintain all banquet facilities, storage areas, and banquet equipment in an orderly and safe manner.
• Attend shift briefing and complete Banquet standard of the day.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policy and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
• Adhere to the hotel’s environmental policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Your experience and skills include:

• Must possess outstanding guest service skills with professional presentation.
• Detail-oriented with keen attention to guest requirements.
• Previous serving experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have successfully completed Serving it Safe course.
• Flexible with hours of work, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be physically fit in order to lift items weighing up to 10 kg.
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Proficient in English, written and verbal.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
