Qantas Lounges by Accor are seeking an experienced Bar Barista. We pride ourselves on an exceptional, educated and memorable coffee or beverage experiences for our guests. As a key member of our team you will represent our friendly and professional service philosophy of ‘Feel Valued’ and ‘Feel Welcome’. 

Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general OHS practices
• Ensure all beverages are made to Lounge standards and training standards provided by relevant Beverage supplier
• Demonstrate a commitment to total guest satisfaction through provision of professional drinks service
• Perform the tasks of order taking and maximise opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling
• Ensure all equipment associated with the Coffee Machine is kept, neat tidy and orderly
• Demonstrate versatility in responding to guest requests and situations
• Take responsibility for your designated section and station
• Have a working knowledge of relevant airline operating schedules and boarding times
• Follow company procedures to minimise our impact on the environment and prevent waste

 

Whilst technical experience is important to us, to be considered for the role you will have:

• A friendly, customer focused attitude with the strive to provide total guest satisfaction
• Proven barista & coffee skills
• Strong knowledge of local and imported beer and wine
• Initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive, intuitive and efficient
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certification
• Confidence in liaising with various internal and external clients
• A high standard of grooming and personal presentation
• The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Have the ability to obtain Federal Police clearance to work in the restricted areas associated with the airport
