Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Preparing and serving hot or cold beverages such as espresso/filtered coffees, fresh juices and teas; simple food orders such as sandwiches, muffins and cakes based on the prescribed preparation techniques and recipes
  2. Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils, equipments and seating/lavatory areas
  3. Welcoming and greeting customers in the coffeehouse and efficiently determining their needs and interests
  4. Ordering, receiving and stocking retail products and stock supplies for the coffeehouse
  5. Explaining and educating customers about various coffee products and tools

Requirements

  1. Express a passion for coffee, or is willing to learn about coffee related products
  2. Retail experience preferred but not a must. Training will be provided by the venue which usually covers areas such as the basics of coffee-making, correct use of equipment and customer service
  3. Willingness to work overtime occasionally and on shifts when it is required. Ability to handle pressure and work independently at special events
  4. Excellent listening and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese, with Putonghua as a plus
  5. Detail-oriented and well-organized. Maintains a professional attitude and company morale
