BARRE TEACHER TRAINER

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Spa Director, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Demonstrate Fairmont core values in all interactions
  • Ensure an exceptional guest experience by demonstrating courtesy, exceptional service and cooperation, sensitivity and professionalism to all Guests
  • Manage the fitness class schedule to optimize the greatest participation
  • Coordinate/Supervise Fitness Teacher standards and training, including Core Fusion teachers, Core Fusion Trainees, Yoga teachers, and Personal Trainers
  • Ensure quality control by teaching each week with high quality and consistency in Mind Body classes for all levels and sizes
  • Assist with classroom instruction and provide coverage for classes as needed
  • Manage teachers’ performance and conduct annual performance reviews
  • Coordinate and facilitate workshops and teacher trainings as required
  • Assess guest fitness level, abilities, and injuries to address specific needs within class
  • Assist with membership administrative duties including member, class pack holder and fitness guest emails and registrations.
  • Strict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).
  • Perform any other duties, tasks, and assignments within your department as required.

Qualifications:

 

  • A degree in Exercise Physiology, Dance, Physical Education OR Exhale Barre certification
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ professional exercise and/or dance instruction experience is required
  • Current CPR certification is preferred
  • Certification from ACSM, NASM, NSCA, or ACE is an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Proven ability to work cohesively as part of a team in a multi-cultural, diverse environment
