As Bartender, you represent Fairmont Century Plaza with enthusiasm and pride, providing exceptional service and attention for each guest you encounter.  You are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the best possible experience for your guests at all times.

 

The Bar at Century Plaza is the beating heart of the newly renovated Fairmont Century Plaza. The signature bar stands center stage, adorned by massive glass walls that disappear into the floor with the push of a button, vaulted ceilings with elaborate grid work, a living wall, a fireplace and a waterfall, all circling a monolithic square bar seemingly hewn from one giant block of marble. A symphony of sounds surrounds our guests; live music or a vinyl listening session plays through speakers, the chatter of guests echo, and celebratory cheers with glassware clinks offer treble while pops of champagne give way to balancing bass. And at the center of it all is you.

What you will be doing:

• Prepare beverages following Fairmont Century Plaza   recipes and guidelines for preparation
• Take orders and interact with guests in a professional way making them feel welcome and special
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar prep area and bar
• Be familiar with all menu items, preparations, and aspects and services of the property

 

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous experience tending bar in a high volume, luxury environment
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
